C3 Cares

We have an ever increasing vision to see our church move beyond our physical four walls and be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. If you've been wanting a practical way to live out your faith and reach others by using the various gifts, skills and abilities you're been blessed with then this is most definitely the place for you.

At C3 Church Hobart (both South Hobart and Huon Valley) we strive to follow Jesus example and do as He did. Matthew 20:28 says, "Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many."

Continue reading below to find out more about how you can get involved, in helping the community of Hobart flourish.

If you have skills that you are happy to put to good use in helping other people, we’d love to hear from you! And we’re not just talking about power tools here, we’re looking for all sorts of skills. The more contacts we have within our C3 Cares ministry, the more we can respond when a person or organisation reaches out for help. Listing your skills doesn’t mean you’ll be contacted every time, we’re simply looking to gather a database of skills, so that when a need arises we know who we can contact for help.

If you have equipment that you're happy to use (or willing to lend to others to use) then let us know! Sometimes we have to purchase or hire gear to be able to help others, and if we don't need to do this then the money used can be put to much better use. Don’t just think cement mixers - you might have a sewing machine, a spare computer, a mower or even be happy to loan your ute or trailer to help someone move out of a dangerous situation.

At C3 Church Hobart we have a freezer full of meals ready to go to those in need. As you can probably guess, these meals don't cook themselves. For all sorts of reasons, many people will at some point in time need a meal or two provided for them. It doesn't matter who you are, having a nice healthy meal ready to eat is so important.

Those of us who are blessed to have friends and family close by, often get a lasagne or two delivered when life throws us curveballs. If you enjoy cooking and baking, or perhaps grow your own fruit and veggies that you'd like to donate, get in touch using the form below. When requests come in from time to time we'd love your help!

"I got a call late on Tuesday about a lady who had to be out of her rental house that Friday, she was living in a dangerous situation and had been accepted into emergency accommodation, to get her bond back and end her lease the yard had to be tidy. She didn't have the money for a mower so the yard needed a lot of work. It was awesome to be able to put into practice what I had learned through But To Serve, I tidied the yard and she got her bond back." – Anonymous
